Has anyone decided where we are meeting? Pub or the car park where we met last time?

From the town just head uphill to get into the gorge, the cars will be in one of the roadside car parks.

I finally managed to get through to someone half sensible at the Riverside (seems they are hard to find!) who was the duty manager, she has said it all sounds fine and is provisionally booked but will call back tomorrow to confirm when the landlord is there.

So the current plan is meet in the Riverside carpark (postcode BS27 3PX) at 12:00 noon and then I have said we will go in for some food/drink around 1-1:30ish.

Directions and map: http://www.riversidecheddar.co.uk/contact.htm

Hopefully the carpark should be fairly empty at 12 so we will be able to find a nice corner. Whoever gets there first try and park in the most spacious area of the carpark and scare non-gt4's away

I will try and get there early so look out for a black ST205 with white multi spoke wheels and that is me :D

Now back home and mapped to 531bhp & 411lb/ft - that's enough power for now! :D

I'm bringing various parts for people off the ST205 I'm breaking at the mo (see the for sale section), so if anyone is after any bits and bobs let me know (please PM me so as not to clog up this thread).

The plan at the moment is to meet up in the pub carpark of the Riverside pub at 12:00 noon. I think we will have to make a judgement call on parking at the time, will aim for the pub carpark as a first port of call as it will be free to park - but if it looks like there isn't space we can relocate to the public carpark right next door.

Attached is some pics from google for reference, the pub is the big building right on the roundabout, the public carpark is right next to the pub car park:

As for driving route how about this suggestion?

- Leave the pub carpark and head straight up through the gorge (stop at gorge carpark halfway for photo op?)
- Loop round and back into Cheddar by a different route, skirting the Cheddar reservoir on the way through (another photo op parked up on the side of the lake?)
- Leave Cheddar and take the back roads across to finish at the beach car park at Brean Sands (final photo op)
- People can then be free to go there own ways or go for a stroll onto the Brean Down headland which is very nice

This route is about 25miles and should take around an hour with stops

Some highlights - proper GT4 country!

Also with my responsible hat on - can I remind everyone that this is a casual cruise and not a rally. I'm sure there will be opportunities to safely give the car a bit of beans round a few bends every now and then, but please be sensible as we don't want any problems, accidents or trouble with the law, especially when driving trough villages and built up bits.

Will also try and stick together in a convoy as much as we can - keep your eye on the car behind and if anyone gets left behind at some traffic lights or has a problem flash your lights up the line to the front and we will try and pull in somewhere suitable to regroup so no-one gets lost.
