The next SSCC event.

This one will once again be run as a standard autotest rather than the past 'rallytests'. Partly on sealed surface (covered in dirt) and partly gravel. It will be mostly (if not totally) forwards only, and fairly open so there will be no problem getting a celica round the course without requiring the handbrake - although that would be no fun

For those that know Henstridge, the tests will be in the smoother areas - probably 2 tests in the big gravel area and 1 up the far end in the T shape.

It will be suitable for standard cars and novices, unlike the past events.

Entry fee likely to be about £20-£30 plus you need to be a member of an invited MSA club or pay £15 ? annual membership of S&S.

Spectators are welcome, free of charge. It is a fun, friendly atmosphere. Passenger rides are likely to be available if wanted.

Oh yes, new wing resprayed, but slightly different colour than rest of car (goin for patchwork look lol), new sidelight, washer bottle and pump. All in all 200 quid to fix it, so quite a costly mistake. Now have 205 gearbox fitted too after launching 5th through casing, although the synchro in 4th seems to be knackered as crunches at high revs.

Ahhhh!! I got payback the other day as was learning to drift it, but was pretty tricky due to short wheel base and to maintain a good drift you need be to doin 40 odd in 2nd. So after a little while started to get hold of it until I span out, mounted a kerb diagonaly at some speed then bent the whole wishbone and bottom of shock!

Teach it to beat me lol!

So anyway, gotta fix that before it comes along too. On the positive, the tyre didnt pop and the alloy is fine.

Ah no it cant be, looking forward to it and possibility of many spectators coming to watch to see what its all about and maybe compete in the next one.

Shame I will have to give this one a miss as my 185 it not in the best state at the moment
and cannot afford to brake my current daily.

Any possibilities of just having a few locals meeting up for a friendly mini competition between freinds?

I'd still like a play/practice, make up some courses and have fun.

If airfield available for event on sunday, quite happy to pay for use/insurance etc....
