Glad to hear you got home ok - the trains are alright most of the time.

Excellent to hear that Chris did ok with the duck clutch. It was brilliant to see the car out and running well.

Great to hear Chris got on OK with the clutch and you got home on the train OK :)

I was amazed at how many people turned out for the event considering it was just really a Japanese car enthusiasts morning drive. I guess the sunshine helped even although it wasn't actually warm. I'll post up some pics from the day below.

Morning all...as it technically is 02:20

Well thanks for all the help tht enabled me to go to this event, was a good day ( though am paying the price, totally wiped me out but was worth it)
I dropped Chris off at the train station and went virtually straight home, toyed with the idea of popping in something to eat but to be honest i was knackered and pain was just begining to set in so i thought id catch an hours sleep..I woke about an hour ago after a few sort of wakes as pains really kicked in...ohh well!!

Was great to see everyone and was a good day, I didnt really get a chance to take photo's tbh
The drive home was good even though pulling off is a bit of an art and doing thst on an incline is something you really have to keep your brain in gear and something i have not really mastered or even attempted bar once

Ezzy ran well ( and was not as loud as i remembered ) Chris was a star and has been right throughtout ( though never let him try to order anythng online....its a bit of a trial ay Chris? hehe

I will have to have a word weith Chris about adjustments to the leaver via the controller ( is in Italian ) as , for me, the lever is a bit too high on the engagement for my fingers ( yes i noticed/realised this AFTER Chris had gone typically and lowering the lever will make for a lot smotter operastion i feel

A few little things i have to try to do before taking to the MOT adn driving her again.. silly bits for me not really MOT stuff but i will be happier once i have done those before driving her again ( like painting the foot pedal covers so i can see the pedals at an easy glimpse so i definaterly kniw my foot has not gone over too far ( it helped enourmousely in the Pug ) sort out the central locking/a;arm as thats got s wire knocked/misplaced somewhere...simple thing i am sure... and i have to get a number plate sorted )

That is just about it then i can drive her again from what i can immediately recall

Was great to suddenly see Mike and Don... creeping up on me lol...and Ezzy even managed to park on the grid
3 165's there for a change !!
All in all a great day, worth the inconvienience i am now experiencing .... I am glad i took up my mates offer of taking my wheelchair with me or i dont think i would of made it for as long as i did

Seats were a joy to be sat in and made a lot of difference to how i felt when driving

Thanks all for all your helps over the past couple of years... yes its been that long !!

Chris

Isuzu Bellet 1600GT

The car was imported from Australia specially to recreate the car that Bruce McLaren drove at Goodwood in 1966(?) and enter the Goodwood Revival. The engine sounded pretty fruity and according to the owner has some cams from an Isuzu truck which are similar to the Ford Pinto 2 litre.

Note the Japanese SU carbs! Apparently they work better than the SU's on which they are based.

Mazdaspeed AZ-1 'Kei' car. Cute doesn't begin to describe this!

These were built by Suzuki for Mazda. Power came from a Suzuki-sourced 657 cc turbocharged engine that produced 64 PS (47 kW) at 6500 rpm and 85 N·m (63 lb·ft) at 4000 rpm. Modified bodykit includes front and rear wings/spoilers, gullwing doors, uprated springs, strut braces and limited slip diff on this version

ST165 caged and prepped for rallying. Not a TTE car but apparently converted early in its life and then spent some tim being rallied in Ireland

What are you trying to say lol

Actually it always looks good in photographs .. despite not being cleaned...or rarely, as i usually have a lot of last minute things to do to her just to get her anywhere and i know that 'at the moment and previously' the paintwork/bodywork is not very good and that is what i hope to concentrate on now as long as she continues to run alright

But she always does look clean and tidy in pics

The wings were actually covered in greasy finger prints

I had call outs Friday & Saturday, getting back at 9PM Saturday still with trims to bolt back on, so no time for washing or polishing as planned.
