Good to see they did well at the Silverstone WEC event at the weekend too. Bodes well for Lemons

Also, for those endowed with Discovery channel look out for a cameo in Wheeler Dealers Trading Up next Tuesday

I presume you are being sarcastic? Toyota were trounced by Audi. The only saving grace was McNish winning.

No
I (possibly alone) thought they put up a good showing. Considering they used the old car which they expected to be off the pace they only dropped less than a second a lap overall and were on pace when the conditions suited - fastest lap for Davidson was .4 off the fastest Audi
Given the expectation for a slightly off pace car I think that's more than encouraging. Of course the Audi's might have been nursing it all the way but fastest lap seems a reasonable indicator

If I was being sarcastic I'd have said they valiantly fought off the Aston Martin challenge and were narrowly beaten by the Lotus E-Tron Quattro

I suspect McNish might have revealed the true ultimate pace of the 2013 R18 when he chased down the sister Audi in the closing laps to take the win. Useful data for Toyota I would think. Apparently both Toyotas were 2012 spec. This seems strange as they only built three cars last year. One was written off in a testing shunt at a wet Paul Ricard and I thought Ant Davidsons TS030 was unrepairable after its Le Mans aerobatic display. It appeared as a show car later on I the year. Toyota will have a single 2013 spec chassis at Spa next month and one 2012. They really need to sort out their longitudinal (pitch) damping. The F1 boys all seem to have this now with the Mercedes hydraulic system being particularly effective. Witness Lewis's pole in Shanghai last weekend.

Interesting to see the hydrolastic suspension making a come back!

There are a couple of ex F1 engineers on a hi-fi forum I frequent and Frank Dernie has commented many times that no race team cocks up suspension settings any more (despite their claims to the media) and it is always an aero issue that can't be controlled by mechanical suspension means.
