Hi Folks,

I will be making my annual pilgramage to the Autosport show at the NEC in Birmingham. For anyone interested in motorsport technology and engineering its a must.

I will be going on the 10th January and usually stay in a nearby premier inn the night before, anyone fancy joining?

I think you are right Chris..

From the web site....................

Autosport International - The Racing Car Show
Featuring every level of Motor Racing - from Karting to Formula 1- the show truly brings together the world of motorsport under one roof.

Catering for both professionals and Motorsport fans alike, Autosport International incorporates two Trade-only days (9 & 10) followed by two Public days (11 & 12) dedicated to Motorsport enthusiasts.

Maybe Mike has privileges we don't have :(

Coincidentally I got confirmation of my free ticket to the Autosport Show yesterday through my BRSCC membership. Opted for Friday 10 January and also booked the Premier Inn for the 9th.

Both the 9th and 10th are trade days (Autosport Engineering) not normally open to the public but you can still get tickets through 'team applications' Lots of interesting techy stuff to see. There's also the Racing Car Show which I think is organised through Pistonheads. Good day out :)

I can arrange a ticket but I would need a firm guarantee that you are coming otherwise I end up out of pocket.

Chris, Phil,

Yes the 10th is a trade only day. I'm saying I can get you a ticket if you want one!

The engineering bit of the show isn't there on the Saturday or Sunday so well worth going on the trade day.

Meurz - the NEC in Birmingham is literally right next door to Birmingham Airport there is a monorail and then a short walk between the two. With some careful planning you could easily do it in a day - catch the first flight in and a late flight home.

Or plan roadtrip and come drink beer with us beforehand :)

Can I get a final show of hands for this - I will be buying my ticket tomorrow so if you would like me to arrange a ticket for you please say now, the tickets are £26 each. If you put your name down you are committing to a ticket and will have to pay regardless of whether you come along or not.

Cheers, :)

My final decision is that I can't make my mind up so might as well save the money.
