Post subject:  GT4 trackday / challenge weekend

You guys probably know all about this but in case you dont ;

That time of year is almost upon us again, its a mere 6 weeks or so till the GT4OC's annual Challenge Weekend on the weekend of 18th-19th August.
This year the venue is RAF Woodbridge near Ipswich in Suffolk.

We have a limited number of places available and I have been asked to offer these up to the Celica community.
Camping has been arranged, by way of a dedicated campsite hired purely for the GT4OC Challenge Weekend, complete with toilets, showers, and hot water, plus a purpose built barbeque.

RAF Woodbridge is an ex-american airbase which has now been turned over to motor-racing. Throughout the year, numerous events are held there. Trackdays are held almost every other weekend, with national and sprint championships taking in this venue too, so it is a well tested location. The circuit poses a wide variety of possible layouts, including a very promising track which is 2.2 miles in length.

For those of you who are not aware of the format of the weekend, it is as follows;

Friday (17th August)
Arrive at the campsite and setup, and get ready to, eat, drink and be merry

Saturday (18th August)
Convoy the short distance over to RAF Woodbridge, ready for the track briefing, and a day full of fuel-filled fun, with the possibility of several different track setups to try your skills out on, throughout the day.

Once the days track sessions have finished, then its back to the campsite, for more food and fun and partying.

Sunday (19th August)
Once again, convoy the short distance back over to RAF Woodbridge, ready for the days drag strip events. This will include unlimited runs down the strip, giving plenty of time to test out your launching skills, and to try and improve your 1/4 mile times.

For more information on the event and to take part in the discussions please visit the following links;

This is a members event, but rest assured, non-members are also welcome, there is a surcharge for this, however, this includes a years free membership to boot!

That is all from us for now, but please take the time to check out the links above to read about what promises to be the best event of the year, but dont delay, as spaces are going by the day, and there is outside interest to take spaces if the masses dont grab the limited number of 50 spaces per day that are available.

Shoud there be any questions, feel free to drop me a pm on here or on the GT4OC

Regards

Just a quick note to say I've signed up for this.

It really is a bargain £55 for a trackday - you won't get one that cheap very often :)

Should be a good day, does anyone know the layouts of RAF Woodbridge?
