Good footage! ... looked like you were holding your own with the Caterfields, Porker etc. I've never been to Anglesey circuit but from what I've seen on 5th Gear it looks a bit tight and twisty to ideally suit a 'Four particularly one with standard suspension and tyres?

Cheers peeps! :D

Tracktoyfour, you are dead right mate. Tiny little circuit it is, very enjoyable.
At the start the Caterhams and Westfields were caining me but come the 4th and 5th session I was keeping up with them! And on stock suspension and average tyres!
There was also a Celica GT in my group  was his face after seeing what the four is like! :D

Nice footage, bet you had loads of fun. :D

I love track days, especially with the hardware to have fun in.

A little on the different side, some grass cutting whilst running the engine in.

I could not resist not going sideways, its all second gear stuff , with just a hint of 3rd away into the distance.
it makes for good telemetry readings, the logger res sure held true, thats about it.

Sorry, no sound it’s a miracle that any footage was taken at all.

I took ages to power wash the 4 clean afterwards.

Since then, I have repaired the constantly on brake light, not sure how long it’s been used like that.

You require apple quick time to run video file *.Mov :!:

Oop's what about field days, would this be allowed under track day heading

Too right I did mate :D although I was black flagged in the 2nd session for the girlfriend having her hand outside the window   the officials were really good about it tho. Just a friendly warning then they let me finish the session, which was cool. :D

Can't wait to the next trackday......

Couldn't open the attachment datajon  I don't think that I have the correct applications :(

Hi.

Not high speed the bend shown was second gear, leaving the field of view just got into third gear.

Mainly fun.

Been having troubles with the engine cutting out, got hacked off when miles from the workshop, it seemed heat related, so I decided to have a few laps around my field. :D

Normally motor X bikes, quad bikes, the odd auto cross & rally machine have a play.

Have access too much larger fields, plus some tarmac lanes, I prefer the latter.

I think some track days are better than others, depending on who's doing what, and which track you use.

In addition, if you turn up with a load of bad boy's, with expensive hardware, it always seems to get going a little more enthusiastic, they tend to know what they want.

One thing, as the interest has grown for track day outings, the level of marshalling has increased.

The best way is to book the complete track for a morning or afternoon session; goodwood is a great example for this.

Have no idea how much as I have never had to pay for it.

Mahender, not sure if ya question was posed at me (bloody hi-jackers!  only joshing! ) but to answer them from my experience.

No, it wasn't racing. It strictly forbidden. If you get caught even just timing yourself you get chucked off the track there and then! BUT I still gave it my all, gave my trusty 4 a real good test!

Seeing as Anglesey is really quite a small circuit, there wasn't much scope to get up to any great speeds (about 100mph at the end of the main straight) actually the last few sessions the highest gear I used was 3rd! :D :D

If I remember correctly I paid £125 for the trackday there and that was for 6 20 minute sessions, which really is good value imo seeing as a lap takes roughly a minute, 20 laps per session meaning roughly 120 laps done over the day! Bargain :D :D

Jon,

I see why the GPS speed and the engine RPM don't tally up now LOL

Some nice footage there Wolfie. Looks like you were enjoying yourself
