finished running the engine in and just had a new filter and lots of nice new Millers Motorsport CFS oil, also 2 bottles of Millers CVL Turbo fuel treatment in the boot ready for the sunday morning fill-up.
final check over tmrw, then a good old thrashing on sunday

Steve,

My Babelfish couldn't translate that. Do you need me to bring anything down for you?

me, in a CAPS LOCK panic wrote:

Sorry about that

It was a panic post and I managed to get the Win XP Stickey caps lock thing stuck on :(

Anyhoo,

The post should have read like this:-

Crikey, is that this weekend. I had lost track of time!

Andy, if you happen to see or talk to Mr Barry before the event (and assuming he is still going) could you please ask him to throw the pair of rear hubs I bought off him in his car

Don, if this comes off and you'd be good enough to pick them up I would be most grateful :D

**edit**
Barry is not going but has vowed to chuck them in Andy's car for me. Ta in advance Andy :D
PS,Andy if you see Barry before I've called to remind him, can you please remind him too lol
Eyethankyou

fantastic day, just like last year. lots of slow supras again, but they soon got wasted
i followed don out after lunch so we could put a few laps in and he could check out how his car felt on the hard anti-roll bar setting..... then it all went wrong :( a lil bit of smoke, then a bit more, then don pulled off with a blown engine.

u get home ok don?

Yes thanks Andy, got back at 8.45pm so not too bad. Managed to drive it off the flatbed and onto my driveway. I might try and 'borrow' a borescope to see which piston has gone.

Shame really as it felt really strong this morning but towards the end of the last session before lunch it felt a bit down on power. The WI had airlocked so that may have been a contributory factor. I'll analyse the logs and see if they show anything untoward before the engine let go. What may also have tipped the balance was the overrun fuel cut being enabled on the MoTeC. I did toy with the idea of disabling it before the track runs. The absence of cooling effect from fuel being injected on the over run may be another factor. Most race and rally cars seem to run with disabled fuel cut....hence the impressive flame-outs!
