I am thinking of breaking my trackday duck at Keevil, is anyone else going?

It's £99, £20 for a second driver and £10 for passengers.
Would be nice not to be the only 4 on track.

I see the company is run by Ed Moore who is pretty handy in FF1600 single seaters. Hopefully they should know what they're doing but there are some awful track day operators out there. Some run only 'open pit lane' events which I wouldn't recommend for someone just starting. It can be pretty intimidating if you're mixing it with Porsche GT3's, Caterhams, Radicals etc.

Anyway, if you do go, take it easy and enjoy the day. I'd be interested in hearing reports from anybody doing trackdays with different operators so we can rate them.

But I have no experience. No problem, your experience level is not important and we are very keen to welcome new track day drivers to our fold. There is no need to be nervous or worried that you feel you may be too slow, as all our events are run very professionally and tracks are not overcrowded. We ensure all drivers make room for each other and as there is always lots of track time, being held up for a lap is not important. This means even our fastest drivers are always patient and courteous.

I have done 3 days with Motorsport Events and they have been fine.

I can see the point with open pitlane not being ideal for beginners but I find that sessioned events are too regimented and give poor track time, in addition to this many operators do 20 minute sessions which I feel are too long for the GT-Four.

I have never done a sessioned event and don't really plan to either. :)

I am currently thinking of doing the event with them at Abingdon on the 28th Feb.
