After last night & Dorris' rather amusing yet partially daft suggestion of a turbo charged Hinda C90 step through I have done a little research:-

It seems Dorris is not as daft as he seems :-)
Ickle moped outruns a trans am my man:-

It also seems that the favourite turbo is the Mitsubishi/IHI Td02:-

Prodcues an amazing 50bhp!

Good luck Dorris :-)

A C90 damn nearly killed me first time I stepped off my old fizzie onto it!

Sat at the traffic lights I was watching for the opposing set going red, as one does. Seeing them change I gave it a handful of revs in preparation for a "flying" start without thinking about it too much.......
This resulted in classic bike wheelies off dragging hapless rider behind it antics and was the best ever wheelie I've done. Must have been a good 1/4 mile

Bloody auto clutches

Ahh the memories........
Like the dieselling headgasketless fizzie that had to be stopped by spark plug removal and the ensuing spark plug stuck in the roof debacle
Or the aerosole propellent injection system with the (crucially lol) 99% empty shaving cream can

Indeed back in the day only the posh theives had a C90 for ragging through the woods.

I was stuck with a partially pedal powered puch maxi chicken chaser.

Awesome find on the turbo JP bet that’s not a cheap little puppy, might be a bit OTT for a charity moped race, still gives me something to think about.
My only experience with a C90 is towing my mate back 35 miles from the beach, nothing wrong with that you might think except he was on the C90 and I was riding a KH100 and we must of had about 30 ft of rope between us, certainly was interesting when trying to cross a busy duel carriage way. I think I got to 30mph in third be for the slack took up; I instantly stopped and catapulted my mate past me. We even had a copper on a bike pull up beside us at one point expecting to get pulled but he just laughed his head off and pulled away, just as well really as when we came to the next bend I forgot the C90 didn’t have as much ground clearance as the KH and my poor mate was shouting at me to slow down as he was riding the curb like the wall of death and kicking the crash barrier on the out side of the bend to stay off it. He said it was the first and only time that his speedo went off the clock. The things we do when we are young, shame nothing has changed lol. Dorris
Oh I forgot to mention my mate was running knobbly tyres on his C90 at the time. “Crazy fool”
