Can anyone tell me where the GT4OC web site has gone?

It's been missing for a couple of weeks. Only just paid to be a member

Nothing to look at now when I'm at work...lol

Don't know that you'll find much interest in what's become of the OC here TBH, but FYI:

The site has been encrypted with ransomware at the beginning of October and the lack of activity would suggest that either no one has had time to rebuild the server or possibly there were no 'off site' backups made. There have been a number of requests on the OC facebook page for an update but nothing has been said officially for just over 3 weeks.

If it is the case that the backups were all actually on the server then it's not looking good. I understand that the entire forum content was only about 3GB so it's hard to believe there wouldn't be a backup (however ancient) somewhere but who knows.

"Only just paid to be a member" - strange, I thought it had been free for quite a while.

Thanks for the reply

Thought i had to pay but as you mention it was free.

Mainly use the forum for tech help as I'm still working on my GT4.

Have another road/rally car but the Celica is very different.

OC has been down a month now and I have texted Steve the Chair about it and apparently part of the web admin team are on holiday but they are working on the backup. The server needs reformatting and software reinstalled. They do have all the files but it is a case of the volunteers finding the time to sort it.
They hope it will be soon :)

Hi spam if you're interested in talking to an expert about all things GT-Four, why not drop by South Coast Workshop and have a chat with Barry Taylor. Also this forum is a gold mine of information too.

There is probably more technical knowledge on here between the various members than anywhere else.
If you want someone to work on your car then I'd suggest BEK near Chichester, the only other place I'd go is up the other side Manchester.
