I don't really do FB either but I went on recently to try and find everyone but it still didn't seem that busy to me.
A lot busier than anywhere else I guess (assuming I'm on the right page) but not a fraction of what it used to be.
The cars are getting rarer now though which can be a good thing! :)

Prices, even on the gen 6 GT4, have bottomed and are on the way back up again. This can only be good as it means the remaining ones are less likely to be scrapped on a whim.

Still no sign of it reappearing...

Hopefully the club bank account is safe and secure.

I'm sure it is. I am also advised that the domain name is held by 123reg and for some reason they are delaying the handover via rapidswitch. Once this is transferred the new server management team can fire it up again.
Nice and peacefull isn't it :)

I have heard today that they are nearly there.... watch their space :)

What about us lot out in the east angular? We've barely got the hang of internet so so many choices is stretching us to the max!

Celica club is a great alternative to the OC as a large club with plenty going on, meets etc. Just need to put up with the Gen 7 hardresser bunch.

OC is back. Totally new and not much hope of retrieving the old database. Oh well.

Such a shame, it doesn't even remember me so have to re-register after 12 years of use with nearly 2000 posts. And to lose all that info which is invaluable as a resource to keep these ever increasingly ancient cars of the road, oh well. Similar happened to the Mitsubishi FTO OC years ago of which I owned before my GT4. It was enough for me to sell it as without having the the support, I soon lost interest...

Thankfully there have been other splinter clubs over the years so much of the knowledge is still intact.

For many people the OC hasn't been a useful technical resource for a long time. Everything needed can be found elsewhere.

The thing about a 'technical resource', is it doesn't have to be up to the minute current. These are now 20+ year old cars. How to change a turbo is the same 20 years ago as it was last week. I have over 50 GT4OC 'bookmarks' on everything from a wonderful 'how to change a turbo' to what battery the car needs. As a reference resource, it was invaluable. I have my doubts starting it up now from scratch is of any use...

As has been said above, everything you mention in your post is here (and has been since 2005), anything that isn't here is in other places and is easily googled.

This thread has probably run its course as the OC is now back.
