Hi guys,

Just a quickie to mention my interior retrim is almost complete, and I should have it all done by the end of the week. Had a slight mishap with one of the seats in that I managed to strip one fixing 'rivet' off so was unable to remove a bolt from the subframe. Had to cut it off and the seat is going back to the trimmers to have the cover slipped back and the fixing replaced within the frame, nightmare!

That said, it looks mint - not too bling, but not too boring either, I'm well chuffed with the half finished job already. Aim to have it complete and pics up by the weekend

Mook - what have you done to the interior? How mad have you gone?

*lol* Nothing too 'serious', infact, the trimmer stated he'd normally go for a different colour offset to the black as it appeared too dark ...

Have got some Cobra Daytona seats retrimmed in black napper leather with deep purple alcantara centres and GT-Four RC embroidered in the top of the front seats in silver. Rears are a similar set up, and I've removed the centre seat belt while I've been at it, every ounce counts *lol*

Door card trims have been done in the purple alcantara with black piping, gear gaiter again in the purple, and centre console lid cover redone in the black leather. Half done thus far, extremely pleased with the quality and the look, smells super too.

They've also amended the Cobras to help me 'fit' in the car - moving the mounting points further forward on the seat so as to shift them further back in the car, and taking an inch out of the base cushion as I really couldn't fit them any lower (directly bolted to Bride purpose built sub frames) - when first fitted my head was pushed tight against the roof lining, which wasn't an option!

Can't wait to get it all in now

Got the rear seats and gear gaiter back today, and it's all looking fabulous If it wasn't for these nightshifts I'd have it all in Pics will be forthcoming in a couple of days.

Steve > Not yet mate, and I've changed my mind numerous times as to what to go for Needless to say, they'll look smart when finally sorted.

Also contemplating a respray, nothing too out of the ordinary, probalby the slightly darker metalic grey used in the current MR2 range, at least it would still be an OEM colour, albeit a bit darker than the current nimbus grey. Can't beat that 'no need to clean it' look

Came in just over £1100, which included the amendments required to the front seat cushions and mounting points. The rear seats were done in matching vinyl to keep the cost down, so only the fronts are the leather. Also, the alcantara meterial I had was not sufficient to do the job so had to get three meters of that, which tipped the scales upto that mentioned.

Got them done at Seats Galore in Waltham Chase near Portsmouth ( http://www.seatsgalore.co.uk/shop ) and as it was a larger job they threw in the gear gaiter and centre console armrest cover. There was also a couple of further amendments that were needed and they happily did them at no extra cost. Well chuffed with the quality and service

Got some pics of it all fitted now. Just need to get the gear gaiter redone and then I'll paint up my dash panels in a metalic black for that seriously plush look! Also going to redo my dial with back lit red needles to match the Defis better, and also going to incorparate a sequential shift light into the tacho, should be cool

Hope you like them, also thrown in a pic of the engine bay which is on it's way to completion too, got a few more bits being blinged up and the chargecooler from mjcoo to swap in aswell. Hoping for a feature at some point, try and get Skewer promoted a bit too
