Its now on its original plate so no batty boy comments please (or hairdressers ones) lol

Ill keep you posted JP, first impressions are good.
I agree it would benefit from more adjustment of the steering wheel

The car has been over at my parents since getting the Boxster and getting the 205 on the road so last weekend I brought it back and put it in the garage in order to start the renovation
Ill upload some photos shortly but photobucket is mucking me around this morning and I am unable to upload from laptop to my accout

I have created an album, hopefully. The first batch of pictures shows the condition as it went in to the garage

I have started stripping the car down and today the powder coating guy called round and picked up the subframe, suspension arms and a few brackets plus the wheels

The diff mount looked like it wouldnt last much longer so I enquired about a new / replacement mount and the prices are eye watering for a few simple pressed parts and a bit of rubber
I found a source of casting polyurathane with a little help from others and will give a home made approach a go

De rusting of the underside has been going on for a few weeks and in the process I snagged the wire to the ABS sensor and pulled it out.
I was planning on removing the sensor to see if reconnecting is possible but the sensor isnt budging
Is there a special technique involved?

Lots of penetrating fluid possibly a bit of careful heat?

I know these can be a real pain to get out.

I have recently removed all 4 sensors to check them - recommend carefully applying constant gentle prising pressure with a screwdriver whilst also very slightly twisting forwards and backwards... got all 4 out without incident :P

The sensors are not screwed into the hub, they're a push fit held in place by the securing bolt you have depicted above.

Good luck!

No. Secondhand is probably your best answer :(
