Have done about 10 miles in the ST205 over the last 8 weeks so she has been sitting still. Got in and fired her up today and steering was locked, a bit of wiggling and it freed up and drove fine. Sure I read somewhere about the issue but cannot for the life of me find it - can someone call out the issue please and its solution!

Is this the steering lock via the key?
If so .... they do, on occasion, need a bit of a wiggle!!
Normally the 'lock' does not come into effect but if you 'wiggle' the steering wheel after taking the key out ... it goes 'click' and locks up!!!
Just do not wiggle the wheel after removing the key and all is well :)

No it felt like something to do with fluid, as when I freed it and turn it full lock whilst car stationary it was juddering then suddenly its like the fluid started working fine and it was all freed up. Not technical by any means but power steering pump issue?

Have you checked the power steering fluid level - and by that I mean taking the cap off and looking in at the actual fluid level, not the level of the stain on the side of the bottle !!

Was the steering fully locked, or just heavy as if the engine were off and no power steering ?
