Getting some practice in, have not had much time welding aluminium to date. as its taken me ages to get the auto ac balance control electronics to work, bloody electronic control board, but well worth it in the long run..

Once I got it to work, i was pleasantly surprised to see how it ran, with smooth control over ac freq, giving good clean welds, etc.

will be making all sorts of tanks , oil, water, pas, fuel swirl, with inlet manifolds, alloy intercooler pipe work, etc.. any thing you like in alloy..

jon, on a slightly related topic...whats your thoughts on a dry sump conversion for the 3S-GTE?

Hi Andy.
Yes dry sump would be worth doing, its a costly process, but the gains are worth every penny, for good reliability.

for start with you will need a pump like this

Followed with a few tanks, oil tanks on right hand side.

the main gains, are uninterrupted oil supply, maintain oil pressure at all times, as well as cooler running oil supply, etc

the down sides, extra service time required to change oil and clean tanks out.
