While the car is off the road having an engine upgrade, decided to get the rear diff mount 'uprated'. Old rubber was cut out and a mould was made so a nolathane material could be poured in and left to set. Result is this...

Should last a fair bit longer than the OE item

That looks good :)
You can also do the same with the front and rear engine mounts.

Out of interest, what shore grade did you use? I've been thinking about doing mine in 80 shore.

Andy - do you have any information on the process or where you might get the materials from?

I am looking into this for when my engine mounts get changed in about a month or so.

ive order the stuff i specified above, i reckon its easily enough for both engine mounts. total was £28.49 including delivery and insurance.

i will see if i can "borrow" a spare engine mount tomorrow and mix the compound, otherwise i wont be attempting this until next week as i need the car to get to bolney

interesting to note each bottle comes marked Irritant and Hazardous :)

Just a quick update on this - I've done a few miles now with the poly engine mounts, they are going to be replaced as soon as is possible for stock or TRD items.

The vibration transmitted to the chassis is very significant and makes driving the car very uncomfortable, this was with a 65 shore mix.

Not a modification I would recommend.
