ok so i dont know if its the cold canadian winter or what, but yesterday i filled up and my fuel needle didnt pop up like it normally does, it actually didnt move at all just stayed at the E mark never moving????

Is this a common issue with a 1994 GT4 ? I dont want to get to the tank to check so im hoping its a burnt out gauge in the cluster, anyone else had familiar issues

car has 143 000 km on it

Have a look in the boot (trunk) under the carpet - inspect the wiring and if ok, undo and remove the sensor from the tank - inspect.

Warning - watch out for the fuel vapour!

You should be able to get some idea whether the fault is in the sender without removing by unplugging in the boot and measuring resistance. Also check you have volts coming down from the gauge end. (lack of volts would indicate gauge or wiring problem)
