Yesterday i took my Celica St185 for a hard drive, unfortunately it started miss firing and started working on 3 cylinders. All i could smell was something burning, on closer inspection i found that the lamba insulation was melting. My engine mangement display has also shown a warning display.

Anyone know what could of coursed this problem, i'm getting another lamba switch today, but i would like know what has caused this problem!

I replaced the lamba sensor, but it still runs on 3 cylinders. I'm going to replace the leads tomorow, i dont know why the engine management light came on in the first place.
