thats around 460bhp at the fly if i calculate correctly... rather impressive figure for a 3071 at 1.2 bar boost what kind of other mods are on the car as that is most impressive.

most 3076 turbo setups wouldnt get that power at 1.2 bar

That is a flywheel BHP figure.

You are making 345 lb/ft at around 4500rpm which is about right for a flywheel figure at 1.2 bar. If you are making 345 lb/ft at wheels it would be around 400-430 lb/ft at 1.2 which is unheard of on a 2.0 litre turbo (unless you are are running rocket fuel??)

Nice safe map there from the graphs though so IMHO there is plenty left at the same boost with forged pistons.

thought it seemed rather high for a 3071 on a 2l.

most of them dont seem to hit 400bhp fly without a good 1.5+ bar boost.

still good though and as you say, when or if forged are applied you have the turbo to get some good power

stock st205 ? or st185 etc

st205 can take lots as its a 4 layer steel jobbie

st185 is made of paper over 1 bar and your pushing it ( could be wrong though as i never had one )

What intercooler are you using?

Numbers are nice.
I recently got 322 at the fly on my CS with GT3071 @1,2 bar on stock internals. 280 @the wheels.
I have some upgrades to make and hope to reach the same number as you on my GT3071 safe map @ 1,2 bar.

Intrigued!

Cams will help stop the torque rolling off at higher rpm so HP goes up "for free"

It will require a remap though as the fuelling will be altered

Welshman,

The ST205 gasket. We were going to run the 3071 at 1.2bar to start and then up it gradually. Lots of different advice regarding what the pistons etc can take, quite tempted to R&D by increasing it progressively until it fails!!!

Heard the ringlands are weak but then people used to say all sorts of things about other cars that wasn't so. If it's not detting it shouldn't be an issue unless the in cylinder pressures are so high that it crushes the ringlands, but we'll see.

Cheers
Nito

EGT and Det kills the pistons , they shouldnt get crushed so to speak imo .

some have ran 400 on a stock st205 engine but thats very often on a japanese map and probably overfueling to keep things cooler .
