Just to be controversial my feeling is that there's a lot to be said for keeping the stock hoses. For the following reasons:
1. If you replace with braided stainless steel lines you have to be wary of the abrasion like Kris has said.
2. Also agree with Steve that all pressure lines need to be replaced by pressure lines not just unreinforced silicon hose. A few GT-Four owners have made the mistake of replacing the stock OEM black pressure hose with ordinary silicon hose and then wondered why their engines weren't performing (the hoses 'balloon' under pressure)
3. There's also the problem of oil contamination discolouring coloured hose.
.......ducks quickly to avoid the inevitable torrent of abuse :P

Correct me if I'm wrong - there are 4 types:
- 4 mm
- 6 mm
- 8 mm
- 16 mm

So is this confirmed? and are these values for the ID, or OD?

I'm about to do the same with my car.

thanks

Corey,

It's ID's for sure.

Later I'll input the list of the hoses which are untouchable to be replaced by silicon w/o armament..

I am interested in this information.

I was looking into this vacuum hose replacement kit for the 3sgte ( http://www.berktechnology.com/shop/prod ... 9&P_ID=465 ) but now I am weary of going this route. Especially spending $50 for some hoses.

We have closed this subject already, now all (100%) hoses under the hood are replaced with reinorced ones - braided, silicone reinforced, vacuum one.
