no need - woudl have bene teh same nankang fitted when Kris weighed it as I have in teh garage. Oh I also have weighed a full weight/traed Nankang so will all be sorted

Just measured the wheel & tyre weight of a St185 wheel with orginal Pirelli P6000 tyre with 4 mm of tread. (must be a collectors item by now!)

I nearly fell off my chair.... 19KG!
Wheel = 15" x 6.5"
Tyre = 215/50/15

Weight without tire: Est 9KG/ 20lbs
Weight with tire: 21.7kg/ 48lbs
Tire specs: Marangoni Zeta 255/40/17

Note: stock 185 wheel/tire weight on the same scale came up 18.1kg and 40lbs.

My goal for my next wheel tire setup is to get the total weight closer to the stock range. I am looking at wheels in the 7.26kg/ 16lbs range and tires in the 10.4kg/ 23lb range. Hopefully combined with a lighter front brake setup I should have some nice weight saving.
