Did a last trip to the Nürburgring for this year last weekend and drove 4 laps there as the conditions were perfect.

As a bonus one of the usual photographers took a picture of me and my car while driving the "Karousell" twist. My new favorite picture of my car:

It was cold, wet and miserable here at the weekend. I managed a lap of the supermarket

Not jealous at all of your lovely weather and location, oh no

She looks to be running really low on the suspension when on the Karousell

That´s only because every cars suspension compressing so much in this section caused by the heavy camber of the road surface.

I´ve builded my CS as a road and track driving machine, not as a show car, so maximum lowering wasn´t a target while bolting the Tein suspension in.

Fair point,
this is what I am doing with my own CS,
suspension alignment and big brakes being fitted
before mapping the MOTEC
and a full respray.

Came as it has to come. Drove my CS since 2008 and 30k km, but had the first breakdown today.

On my way home from work I shifted down to 2nd gear to pass a slow car and than this happend:

Now 5th gear and reverse aren´t working anymore. :(

Wouldn´t be such a big problem as I´ve already bought an ST205 gearbox last winter, but I´m rebuilding my other project car ( a ´86 MR2 ) at the moment and I´m out of money because of this little money pit.

Will bring it to my shed tomorrow and will remove the side cover at first. Maybe I can repair it using parts from the new box without taking the gearbox out. Would bring the car back to the road quickly and would give me time to save money for the full transplantation.

Already asked for prices for an Exedy Stage 1 and an Exedy Hyper Singel at my favorite performance parts dealer, but will have to ask for the price for the gear box swap at the local Toyota garage as I can´t do the swap myself because I don´t have a car lift.

I'm sure the cost of an engine hoist is less than the cost of Toyota swapping the gearbox.

I have had this problem before,
you can replace the end cap
and 5th & reverse with the gearbox in situ,
cost me about £150 in parts.

Parts shouln´t be the problem as I already have an spare gearbox. But will I need special tools therefor ?
