Turned up this morning from Cusco. Damn instructions are all in Japanese but I'm sure that can be overcome

Have already started the ball rolling with a larger WAI pre-rad which should be finished in a couple of weeks, then I can get this installed and see how much the inlet temps are lowered.

Definitely need to get the temps down - went to the drags this evening and during my first (and only) run, the engine check light was flashing half way down the strip. That was the Apex'i ECU saying "Knock, knock". Decided to call it a night as it wasn't worth risking the engine. Water injection is definitely needed, but the issue was sitting in the queue with inlet temps rising to nearly 60 deg C and not dropping far enough during the run. WI will obviously help reduce the temps which is causing the detonation during a standing start. Normal driving etc isn't an issue as far as det is concerned. I'll also look at some type of extra shielding between the top of the engine and the WAI core with some form of cooling fan to blow air between the too which should help reduce the heat soak. A cold air box for the Apex'i filter is also high on the 'to do' list.

This heat issue is robbing the engine of a fair bit of power too
