I've got a Omex rev limter with launch control here - not got a clue what use it is.. but i see that it connects to the coil - looks easy enough.
How does it work in conjunction with an Apexi Power FC?
Is it worth fitting before i take it to thor?

BTW - you mighta guessed i now have another 4 on my drive... :-)

We want a full description and pics of your new Four :D

Looking at the instructions on the Omex web site it looks very easy to install. The Omex would appear to operate completely independently.

Does the Apexi PFC not have a rev limiter?

TBH if I were in your position I'd leave it off the car/disconnect it until you've had the mapping checked by someone reputable. We don't want another holed piston

Yep, you can programme in a rev limit with the Apexi PFC. I hit mine by mistake yesterday in 1st gear  Big bang with a few pops at 7800rpm gave me a bit of a fright

Launch control is nice though. Basically it limits your revs when stationary and clutch in, to say something like 4500rpm. I've yet to find out how this is any different to you manually controlling the revs.... *shrug*
