Mat, I think Steve mentioned the 3S-GE valves in the context of the 3S-GTE because he thought you may be able to use them on the 3S-GTE head and get a bigger performance gain. I'm not convinced myself. You only have to compare the dimensions to see there is a lot of work involved.

There is a similar debate over 3S-GE vs 3S-GTE cam profiles in a Gen3 3S-GTE engine but I'd better not stray off topic on this thread

Dont forget all the Ferrea kit is for either Gen 1 or 2 3S-GTE as its all US Market which didn't get the Gen3. It is my understanding that JEMS have modified the Ferrea valves for Adrians 3S-GTE in the new Celica but I believe they are using standard valves not O/S ones. I will be talking to Jon early next week when he is back from his hols as I want to go O/S myself. I'll let you know the outcome if thats any help?

That would be brilliant thankyou. Im sure all will be checked and measured anyway..im just looking to find any known issues that i can inform parties of if these are such.

Also my confusion came from thinking stvev was talking about mating a 3sge head to a 3sgte block to obtain larger valves...my mistake
